The fan on the above switch was on its last leg.  The Fan dimensions are 40x40x20mm. It is a 5V fan. I am looking for a replacement. The photos allow anyone with a similar fan to comment and suggest a replacement. I am considering the Noctua NF-A4x20 5V, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin, 5V Version (40x20mm, Brown)  and would appreciate if anyone could confirm whether they have managed to get this model to work and what how they paired the wires of the Noctua to the red, white and black wires of the 3Com fan. If anyone has used another brand please share model and link. Important that the fan is quite and good quality . It was designed by Randy Lubin and Mike Masnick of Techdirt . The material covered is heavy, going into subject matter such as drugs, illegal activities, spam, revenge, and porn.
